When I arrived at school nearly the whole of Pt England School was outside lined up to go somewhere. When I saw everyone outside in their lines I asked kitione “where are we going?” then he said “we are going to watch the seniors catch the fish.” When I got into my line with my classroom our principal turned on the loud microphone and then Mr Burt said to turn around and look at him because he needed to tell us what the teacher had to do. my friend Hendrix’s mum, Haare, she had to stand on the side of the road so she could tell us when to cross the road to get onto to the footpath. Next the teacher that takes the reading had to stand on the other road and direct us onto the other footpath.
The Middle
When we got to the Pt England beach our maori teacher played the guitar and the song that she played was called Ihoa and then the next song we sang the alphabet in maori and then Mr Burt turned on the loud microphone and then started to tell us to watch the people that were trying to catch the flounder with a gigantic net and then they were moving over in the water at the same time as they were catching the flounder. Then we started to go back to school and do some work the first class to go back to school was the year 8,s then the year 7,s then the year 6, then the year 5,s then next it was the year 4,s then it was the year 3,s that is my class. When we started to leave the beach when we left the beach we had to take our shoes of and then go into class and sit down on the mat.
